JO’S OFFICE SERVICES has been in business since 1994 and has been growing  steadily.  This growth is due to our company providing exceptional  accounting, tax preparation, and bookkeeping services at reasonable  rates for individuals and businesses.

In order to stay current with changes in the accounting and tax fields, we are constantly upgrading our education in these areas, so we can serve  you, the client, in the most efficient manner.

Jo Somers, PBA has taken numerous educational courses over the years and attends at  least three professional development seminars per year including  accounting techniques, business management, and corporate and personal  tax preparation.   Jo holds the following professional designations:

Our friendly and efficient staff have many years of bookkeeping experience and have taken various courses directly related to Accounting and Payroll.

PBA Society of Canada:

• Promotes, organizes and coordinates the educational activities of a diverse and growing group of designated accountants. The PBA  designation can be attained when certain educational and work experience requirements are met.
• Promotes and furthers the profession of accounting across Canada.
• Provides you with an incredible opportunity to meet with those  practicing in all areas of the accounting industry. Once you have obtained your membership you will be part of a well recognized  association.
• Educates industry, government and the general public. A Member holding the designation of a PBA is a recognized designated accountant.
• Brings together all qualified accountants to build bridges within  the diverse sectors of the membership and foster a sense of association  among those members.
• Provides a continuing education program for members of the association through seminars, workshops and an annual convention. PBA Members are required to accumulate continuing education credits annually to  remain abreast of changing legislation and advancing technologies.
• Public practicing members are subject to a practice review on a  periodic basis. This allows the association to ensure that the standards set by the association are being met.
• Is an association dedicated to the improvement and advocacy of accounting in the public interest.
